Why I Picked This Hotel
I was invited to a client’s wedding in Taipei in June 2025, and while I was excited to celebrate, finding the right hotel nearby turned out to be a bit of a challenge. I was looking for something stylish, well-reviewed, and conveniently located—without compromising on comfort.
After some research, I chose The Humble Boutique Hotel in Taipei, and it ticked all the right boxes: a sleek, modern design, excellent guest reviews, a beautiful indoor pool, and generously sized rooms. Best of all, it’s just 1 km from Taipei Main Station, which connects directly to the Airport Express Line—making it super convenient for getting around.
The Hotel: My Review
Make yourself at home in one of the 111 air-conditioned rooms featuring flat-screen televisions. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Private bathrooms with separate bathtubs and showers feature hair dryers and bathrobes. Conveniences include phones, as well as laptop-compatible safes and desks.
The Room

I stayed in the Deluxe King Room, which was modern, clean, and had everything I needed. The only minor downside was that the window faced an office building. Even though the glass was one-way, it still felt a bit less privatealmost like someone could be watching. If possible, I’d recommend requesting a room that faces the main road for a better view and more privacy.
What really stood out to me were the thoughtful details: universal power outlets (including USB-C) and an all-inclusive minibar stocked with tea, coffee, snacks, and refreshments. Small touches like these really made the stay feel elevated and convenient.

Facilities
Enjoy a range of recreational amenities, including an indoor pool, a sauna, and a fitness center. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless internet access, concierge services, and a vending machine.
- Sparkling and drinking water dispensers on every floor

- The Pool and Fitness Centre
One of the reasons I chose Humble Boutique Hotel was for its beautiful indoor pool, located on the 10th floor and it did not disappoint. The pool area is clean, stylish, and also features a spa and sauna, which was a huge plus for me.

Having an indoor pool in Taipei is a real bonus, especially since the weather can be unpredictable. An outdoor pool would’ve been far less enjoyable on a rainy day, so this was a great find for the price range.
Just a heads-up: the pool isn’t manned and does close for cleaning at set times, so be sure to check the schedule before you head up for a swim or sauna session.

Dining
Breakfast at Humble Boutique Hotel – Worth It?
The hotel’s in-house restaurant, BeGood, serves daily breakfast from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. At the time of writing, they offer a semi-buffet breakfast:

- Adults: TWD 580 + 10%
- Children: TWD 190 + 10% (buffet only, no main course)
I’ll be honest — I didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast myself. With so many amazing food options in Taipei, I preferred heading out to explore the local eats (which I highly recommend!). That said, I did grab a coffee at the BeGood bar, and while it was a bit on the pricey side, it was decent — typical for hotel pricing.
Pro tip: If you’re not feeling like a sit-down breakfast, there are plenty of convenience stores nearby, like FamilyMart and 7-Eleven, where you can grab a quick bite, late-night snacks, or even some bubble tea to start your morning right.

Location and How to get there:
Address: No. 116, Songjiang Rd., Zhongshan Dist., Taipei City 10409, Taiwan, R.O.C.
Transport:
Uber works well in Taipei; however, at the time of my arrival, the fare to my hotel was around 95 AUD (61.69 USD / 1,846.93 NT$). To save costs, I chose a combination of the Express MRT and Uber, which reduced the total fare by nearly 80% compared to taking Uber alone.
- I took the Taoyuan Airport MRT Express which was about 35min from the Airport to Taipei Main Station. From here an Uber to the Hotel.
- Uber works well in Taipei and its a great way to get around without any language barriers.
Weather
The best time to visit Taiwan weather-wise is typically October to early December. Here’s why:
🍂 Autumn (October – early December) – Best Overall
Weather: Clear skies, low humidity, and pleasant temperatures (20–28°C / 68–82°F)
- Why go: Great for sightseeing, hiking, and city exploration; fewer typhoonsBonus: Fall foliage in the mountains
🌸 Spring (March – May) – Second Best
Weather: Mild and fresh (18–26°C / 64–79°F), with blooming flowers
Why go: Cherry blossoms, comfortable temps, fewer tourists than in autumn
🌞 Summer (June – August) – Hot, humid, and typhoon-prone
Weather: 28–36°C (82–97°F) with high humidity
Downside: Peak typhoon season (especially July–September); heavy rain possible
Good for: Beach trips, but pack light and expect sudden showers
❄️ Winter (December – February) – Cool and cloudier
Weather: 13–20°C (55–68°F); chilly in the north, mild in the south
Note: Can be damp and overcast, but crowds are low and rates are cheaper

Would I stay here again?
I truly enjoyed my stay at Humble Boutique Hotel. The amenities were modern, everything was super clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
If I had to point out one downside, it would be the extra charge for early check-in something to keep in mind if you’re arriving ahead of schedule. That said, there were some really nice touches that made up for it, like the unlimited mini bar (yes, really!) and the beautiful pool perfect for unwinding after a long day exploring Taipei.
Overall, I’d definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it as a great option for anyone visiting the city.
