Hey everyone, Dan here! 👋 Airalo is the eSIM I get asked about more than any other, and it is the one I reach for on most trips. You buy a plan in the app before you fly, and you have data the moment you land instead of hunting for a SIM counter in arrivals.
Why I keep going back to Airalo
Coverage is the main reason. Airalo runs data-only plans across 200 countries and regions, so wherever I am booking for, there is usually something that fits. The app is straightforward, you can see how much data you have left, and topping up takes about thirty seconds.
The regional bundles are the part most people miss. If you are doing three or four countries in one trip, one regional plan normally works out cheaper than buying a separate eSIM in every country. Worth checking both before you pay.
How to use the code
- Open Airalo through the button below and pick the country or region you need.
- Choose your data allowance. Buy a bit more than you think, running out mid-trip is annoying.
- Enter code TRIPDEALSDAN at checkout.
- Install the eSIM straight away. Do it on home wifi rather than at the airport.
Before you buy
Your phone has to support eSIM. Most handsets from the last few years do, but not every model, and not every carrier-locked device. Check yours first.
Keep your normal SIM in the phone for calls and texts and let the eSIM handle data. That way your bank can still reach you on your usual number while you are abroad.
If you use this one, tell me how the coverage held up where you went. I am always interested in which networks Airalo lands on in different countries.
Terms and conditions
All eSIM packages, no minimum spend. Valid until 31/12/2026
The discount is applied at checkout on Airalo. You need to reach Airalo through the link on this page for the code to register, so a bookmarked tab or a direct search will not work.
Plan validity, data expiry and refund rules are set by Airalo and vary by country. Read their terms on the plan page before you buy.
Your device must support eSIM. Carrier-locked handsets may not.
