About Holafly
Holafly takes a different approach to most eSIM providers. Instead of selling you a set number of gigabytes, it sells unlimited data for a set number of days. If you are the sort of traveller who tethers a laptop, streams maps all day or uploads video, that removes the anxiety of watching a data counter.
The trade off is price. For light use, a small gigabyte based plan from a competitor will cost less. Holafly makes sense when you genuinely use a lot of data or when you simply do not want to think about it.
What they offer
- Unlimited data plans sold by number of days
- Local plans for single countries
- Regional plans for Europe, Asia and the Americas
- Some destinations include a phone number for calls and texts
- Hotspot and tethering on most plans
- 24 hour customer support
How to book with Holafly
- Pick your destination and the number of days you will be there
- Install the eSIM by QR code as soon as you buy it, while you still have wifi
- Switch the line on when you land and set it as your data line
- Keep your home SIM on for calls unless your plan includes a number
Good to know
Is unlimited really unlimited?
Data is unlimited but the speed can be reduced after a fair use threshold on some plans, and tethering may have its own cap. Check the specific destination page.
Is it better value than Airalo?
It depends entirely on how much data you use. Heavy users usually come out ahead on Holafly. Light users almost always pay less with a small gigabyte plan elsewhere.
Can I make calls?
On most plans no, they are data only. A handful of destinations include a number. Apps like WhatsApp work fine either way.
Can I extend a plan mid trip?
You can buy another plan, but days do not always stack the way you would expect, so it is cheaper to buy the right length up front.
