About Star RV
Star RV is the upper tier of the same group that runs JUCY and Apollo. The vehicles are newer and larger than the budget campers, with proper showers and toilets, more bed configurations and the kind of kitchen you can actually cook in rather than heat something on.
It suits longer trips and families, where the difference between a compact van and a full motorhome stops being about money and starts being about whether everyone is still speaking by day ten.
What they offer
- Two, four and six berth motorhomes
- Internal shower and toilet on most models
- Full kitchen with fridge, hob and sink
- Branches across Australia and New Zealand
- One way hires between major cities
- Linen, camp furniture and child seat extras
How to book with Star RV
- Work out how many berths you need, then add one if the trip is long
- Check the pick up branch and opening hours, some close early and on weekends
- Book the vehicle category rather than a specific model, allocation happens on the day
- Allow time at pick up for the handover, larger motorhomes take a while to walk through
Good to know
Do I need a special licence for a motorhome?
A standard car licence covers the usual Star RV models in Australia and New Zealand. Check the specific vehicle page if you are booking the largest six berth.
Can I take it between Australia and New Zealand?
No. They are separate fleets and separate bookings.
How does it compare to JUCY?
Same group. Star RV is the newer, larger, better equipped end. JUCY is the budget option.
What about powered sites?
Motorhomes with showers and toilets still need dump stations and, for long stays, powered sites. Factor holiday park costs into the trip budget.
